  1. Why would the cubs have made this deal when they could have had JT Snow from the Red Sox for much cheaper?

Because Nevin has more power, and how much cheaper can you get than Jerry Hairston?

I'd rather have Nevin than Snow, but neither one blows me away.

Ladies and gentlemen, you may attribute this quote to Allard Baird:

    "Thank God that's over."

  5. Hey Jason Kendall finally hit a HR after like 1,000 AB.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this.

Did I miss the sarcasm font or have you been drinking this early in the morning, Chris?

Check the Yankees' starting lineup last night.
Melky Cabrera, Bernie Williams and Terrence Long in the OF

Miguel Cairo at SS and Andy Phillips at 1B.

Yeah, it's almost as weak as the Tigers, who they have dismantled 3 games in a row.

I'd rather have had this deal made about a month ago.

Question: Does the Yankees-Tigers series prove anything about the Tigers not being ready to play with the big boys? And what does it prove about the totally disabled Yankees being so dominant against what appeared to be a pretty good team?
