Gagne didn't look too bad in the ninth inning last night ... hope he can stay healthy.

By the way, did anyone else notice that Seattle was the ONLY home team in the majors to win yesterday?

    god i hate fox

watching the angels-indians and they have some comedian whom i've never heard of and isn't funny doing impressions for the entire inning

just show me the goddamn game. i don't give a shit if this comedian has ever caught a foul ball or is a packers fan

oh, just heard it as they pushed him out the door -- after he said he hasn't been to many baseball games -- 'thanks frank, we'll see you on fox this fall'

fuck fox. and fuck frank, whoever he is

Hey, ease up. His dad PLAYED minor league ball.
    He did sound like Seinfeld.

  4. Maybe its that same "ailment" they had to pump Rod Stewart's stomach for.

    ;D

I fear you're right about Vlad. Too bad, because there was no player I more enjoyed watching than him in Montreal.

Pujols leaves game after second inning today. Probably not serious, but ya never know.

    From the Yahoo story:
The Cardinals' Albert Pujols, who leads the major leagues with 25 homers and 65 RBIs, left after two innings with a strained right oblique muscle. The Cardinals said Pujols, who pulled up and grabbed his right side while chasing a Ramirez foul pop in the second, would be re-examined on Sunday.

BTW the NL East is really a bad division.

The only reason the Mets are winning is because their pitching can be terrific at times and David Wright. Reyes and Delgado have been awful since the middle of May. Beltran is hurt again. Paul LoDuca and Jose Valentin are the only other semi-reliable bats in the lineup.

If this recent stiny against the NL West hasn't told you what you needed to know about the Braves it should. They are a .500 team with a mediocre 3/5th of the rotation and an awful bullpen.

The Phillies have a great offense but no pitching consistency to speak of.

From 2007 on this division might belong to the Marlins. They are very very young, but the potential upside on that team is through the roof once they grab three more blue chippers for Willis.

EDIT: Added LoDuca. He's earned it.

Some very good third basemen all throughout a bad NL East.

No doubt, the division SHOULD be very good, but they are all playing average to below average baseball right now.

    nolesfan, agreed.

Braves came back from down 10-2. It's 10-9 now in the seventh.

Bill Bray just made his ML debut and won a game where he threw one pitch and faced no batters. Guy is caught stealing to end the inning, Schneider comes in and hits a two-run home run and Cordero closes as only he can (puts two on with one out).

At least your team is finding ways to win, instead of lose. Mine ... oh, wait ... the Cubs have won two straight, haven't they? Huzzah!
