That was the plan all along, noles. The only question now is rotating the 4 guys -- assuming their all healthy.

Of course that was the plan but that was before a desperate need for pitching came about. If Floyd is healthy and swinging the bat ok I'm sure the Mets will try to trade him to an AL team in hopes of getting a middle rotation starter.

You first mentioned trading Nady. Don't see that because they know Floyd is done at the end of this season.
As you said, trading Floyd for a No. 3-4 starter if they can would be the best-case scenario

Yeah because Nady might be a more desired player than Cliff and they might not have a choice. Nady isn't the type of player you keep if a 3-4 starter is offered. Trading Floyd is definitely the better of the two.

Can the Mets get Milledge enough playing time once people are healthy?

The other thing is if he struggles the second time around the division and pitchers start to to figure him out, what do you do then? Is playing him four or five days a week better than having him play everyday at Triple A?

I might tend to be conservative in this matter. If everybody is healthy, send him down... if he proves too good for Triple A, you can always bring him up in August so you have an option to keep him eligible for the post season.

They'll trade him to the Nats for Vidro and Hernandez.

Who you want Moddy, Nady or Floyd?

    I'd do that deal...right now.

Hernandez and Vidro for Milledge and a young pitcher.
    I'm easy to please.

    But slightly insane

    Well, yeah!

Milledge was mentioned in some early discussions about the Vidro/Hernandez stuff.

I don't know who they will end up moving. Soriano may be someone they try to keep now, just so the new owners can say "look, we really are serious." But they're going to move a lot of people to load up on some prospects.

Who among the prospects besides Milledge - because I can't see the Mets moving him now - would be a fair exchange?

How about Anderson Hernandez (you get a second basmean and keep up the Hernandez quotient) and Phillip Humber?
