One last note on Price. According to this, while he will start in the bullpen, there's a chance he might make a spot start for the Rays during a doubleheader against the Orioles.

Price will probably throw a no-hitter.

    Six doubleheaders, right?

My baseball page was a zoo tonight trying to get Friday's scores and Saturday's games in.

To return to the NL MVP deal for a moment. I knew Manny was putting up big numbers for the Dodgers, but I didn't know how big until I just looked it up. To wit: 14 homers and 41 RBI in 39 games. An OPS of 1.248. Damn! A whole season obviously qualifies a player more than a third of one, but that is some astonishing hitting.

and his BA is somewhere close to .400, too, correct?

It's down into the .380s. Obviously, he is no good. In fact, Jason Bay is better, or so I hear.

I hope the Dodgers win the World Series, as much as that pains me to say. I'd love to see Manny stick it to Boston this fall.

BA is .396 as of this morning. Chances of Dodgers making World Series are not optimal.

True, though Derek Lowe could pull some more crazy playoff magic out of his ass.

Edit: I see now Manny got a couple of hits late in the game. It was down to .387 when he was 0-for-3 tonight.
