    Homer off the catwalk.

Bay hit a "home run" off one of the catwalks at the top of the dome.

Ahh. Normally, I'd be pissed about that, but since I'm in the semis of my fantasy playoffs and I have Bay, I'm OK with it.

I guess it depends on which catwalk you hit. Some of them are considered to be homeruns.

The far one gives you a home run. The one that's closer to the plate, well, that's where the pinball effect comes in.

The rout is on even if Matsuzaka walks the ballpark.

Oh no. Please don't channel the bandwagon jumpers, KP. Even as a joke.

I am confused. Somebody posted on here suggesting that low-revenue franchises that try are keeping their players, with the exception of a few pitchers out to break the bank.

So does that mean Miguel Cabrera is a pitcher who was out to break the bank, since the Marlins traded him away? No wonder he started so slowly this season. Those silly Tigers had him playing third base, and then moved him to first when he should have been on the mound!

One could question whether or not the Marlins are trying, but since Hanley Ramirez was brought up as evidence earlier, they should be fair game.

I guess it was my imagination when the Twins had to let Torii Hunter go as a free agent. But hey, they got shitpot, his .250ish average and his massive slumps to take Hunter's place. I'm sure they haven't missed Hunter at all this season, or Johan Santana for that matter. Never mind that teams like the Red Sox or Yankees would have kept Hunter and Johan Santana as well as Morneau, Mauer and Nathan.

I guess gloating about the cheap shots one is going to take if the Twins and Rays make the ALCS doesn't count as re-starting the financial debate, either.

Maybe some reasonably intelligent poster out there can help me understand these things.

    You annoy me.

Edit: That was for Alex Rodriguez.
