The Rays are back in first (technically, they were never out of first and were leading Baaaaaahston by percentage points). Score tied at 1, bottom 9, one out: Dioner Navarro takes a 2-2 pitch into center field for a bases-loaded single to score Jason Bartlett.

Spellcheck, however, was a tragic fraud. [IMG]

Twins have come all the way back from am 8-1 hole to lead 9-8 in the top of the eighth.

Get Nathan warm. Let him go two.

You want to know what was neither solid or pretty good tonight?

    The Mets hitters.

Sorry HB, least you have the New York Bretts to keep you warm this winter.

Pretty sure it is going to be another middling (at best) season, Favre or no Favre.

TB was leading Boston by .001 points. Not anymore, though. Wakefield vs. Garza tomorrow night. Wakefield is 9-0 with a 2.16 ERA at Tropicana Field in his lifetime.

Fielder is becoming Pujols Jr. against the Cubs.

  11. Ryan Howard hits a two-run bomb off of Mike Gonzalez in the eighth to give the Phils an 8-7 lead and potentially move them back into first place.

It got me to thinking, if the Mets falter again and the Phillies win the division, could Howard win the MVP despite hitting .250? He does have 45 homers and 136 RBIs and has been on an absolute tear in September, so is it even feasible since there seems to be no clear-cut favorite to win it in the NL?

My money is on Delgado, but I thought Howard should at least be in the discussion.
