Well then the MVP will be Hanley Ramirez.

And David Wright has been even worse than Delgado...bases-loaded DPs, weak swings with RISP ... choking dogs, all of them.

True. But at least David Wright didn't tank the first half off in order to get his manager fired...and then somehow end up in the MVP discussion anyway.

With all due respect, some of you folks are the most shortsighted, what have you done for me lately mother fuckers I've ever seen. Howard hits a couple of clutch bombs and he goes from having no shot at MVP to one of the frontrunners. The Mets lose 2 games to the Nats and people are declaring the Phillies the champ even though THEY ARE TIED IN THE LOSS COLUMN. Delgado's out of the MVP running because even though he carried the team for 2 months, he's 0 for his last 8. The Marlins win a couple of games and they have a realistic chance to pass three teams even though they're five back with like 12 to play. Geez. Opinions change from inning to inning around here.

In my defense, I've been saying Delgado is not an MVP for months.

The 0-8/4 Ks was just to point out that when the Mets need him most, he's playing as if he's trying to get another manager fired.

The Mets will not make the playoffs. I'll make any sort of bet you want on that.

Neither will the Astros, Cardinals or the Brewers.

By process of elimination, that leaves...

Nice try, broadway. Nobody ever said Howard had no chance, people questioned the low BA and high Ks. Hard to argue with 45, 136 and big clutch hits this month.
Have you watched the Mets score 2 runs against the freaking pathetic Nationals (shutout by Odalis fucking Perez!)? They are dead in the water, just as they were at this time last year.
I agree that the Marlins have no chance becuase they have to leap-frog 4 teams to get the wild card and that's not gonna happen.

    I still say it's Pujols.

And the Twins are going to lose today.
