And Swisher pops up on a sacrifice bunt attempt. He's no Rod Carew.

Wow. Lineout double play to end the game for the Rangers.

Former Brave, right? He and Marquis for J.D. Drew and Eli Marrerro?

A September tradition unlike any other.

BTW- I will be stunned if Piniella is back in Chicago next year. Not necessarily by new ownership, but by him just being tired and burnt out.

he's useless as a sac bunter. game was over right then; memorable comeback avodied.

yanks had scored four and put men at first and second with none out.

    wow. just wow.

He's said he'll be back but I wouldn't blame him if he said "fuck it" and quit. This team certainly has.

bad managing. why bunt there with a guy who has 7 sacs in his career?

If Lou is not back next year, I certainly hope they don't get stupid as far as a new manager is concerned.

They need to stay as far away from Ryne Sandberg as possible. Don't even think about him. Leave him in the minors. Don't even let his name enter your billionarish mind.

    I absolutely expect that's what they'll do.

poor joba: without putting them away, he won't get a chance to do the union's work.
