Now that Lance is gone, I have no reason to consider any of them even human. :D

Vin now reminds me of Nuxhall towards the end...minus about 38 Hudy's, of course. Joe, love him, was unlistenable. Same with Herb Score. But damn, Herb and Joe were the soundtrack of my childhood.

Wow. Kawakami -- on his 125th pitch -- strikes out pinch hitter Mark Loretta to leave the bases loaded in the 7th.

    0-0 at Chavez Ravine still.

Turned everything around Simon. Defense, too. Guy has been an amazing addition.

Just got back from the park tonight, with my son and his girlfriend joining me. Zimmerman did some more amazing stuff tonight. Yeah, he gets wonky with this throws every now and then. I'll live with it. My Son the VT Grad said something along the lines of, "I wish Zimmerman wasn't a Wahoo so I could like him more."

So that's seven but into all sunshine, a little rain must fall. Found this on Nationals Journal when I returned home:

UPDATED, 6:04 P.M.: The MRI exam on Jordan Zimmermann's right elbow caused concern with the Nationals doctors and will be sent to orthopedist James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., according to acting general manager Mike Rizzo.

ShitFuckShitFuckShitFuckShit. That so isn't good. TJ within two week is my worst fear and best guess.

I've been a big Adam Dunn fan for years. He hits you 40 bombs and draws 100 walks. That is so worth the strikeouts and defensive woes.

I've yet to see Dunn mash one live. Someday...

Saw Dunn hit a foul ball into the upper deck along the 1B line a few weeks ago against San Diego. It kept going and going and going and going. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen. It's still up there somewhere.

I think Dunn blows, king of the caught looking strikeout yada yada, but I will concede that he's hit some of the longest home runs and foul balls I've ever seen ... and it was true before he ever got to the bigs.

I saw him crush one on to West Street in Indianapolis during the Triple-A All-Star Game back in '01, an absolute cannon blast, and I saw him hit a foul ball in Louisville that landed somewhere near Frankfort. In all honesty, I think it hit the I-71 bridge on one or two bounces which is amazing considering its a block or so down the road from the stadium property.
