It's safe to say Lidge isn't Lights Out this year.

 

A very rare solid performance by the Sox out West in an 8-1 win over the A's. Floyd pitches well again. His last two outings: 15 IP, 2 ER.

 

What's up with this winning in Oakland thing? It's weird, but I like it.

(Oh, and it wasn't exactly his pitching that was the problem today. Two errors on the same play was the real culprit.)

 

Of course, Rios went 1-for-17 again. He's not looking too good.

I heard that the Sox are bringing back Freddy Garcia for a start Tuesday against KC. Can't be any worse than Contreras has been lately.

 

As a Phillies fan, a closer with an ERA over 7 is not encouraging.
