    walk, hit by pitch, interference (catcher or other fielder), error, fielder's choice, hit, strikeout-WP/PB, batted ball hits a runner or umpire (batter credited with hit)

    Actually, the reason there are so many lefties at first base is because it's the only infield position where a lefty doesn't have to completely turn his body to throw to another base. If you're a lefty who's not fast enough to play the outfield and without the arm to pitch, you're a first baseman or a DH.

    I have now determined why the Rays picked up Gregg Zaun -- to mash a pinch-hit grand slam in the bottom of the eighth. :D

    And Brandon League just hit B.J. Upton (next batter) in the middle of his back.

    Judging by the current radar picture, the probability of the Phillies-Braves game getting in tonight is slim to nill.
