Jeter has 2 hits today, passing Luis Aparicio as the MLB leader with most hits as a shortstop (2,674).

Off the top of my head

    Bowled
    Caught
    Hit wicket
    Run out
    Hit ball twice
    LBW
Not reporting to the crease in time at your turn

    I got seven. Not bad.

Worse than Hamilton being named the next Reddi-whip pitchman.

I remember a Dodgers game in the '80s when a fan caught two home run balls. Vin Scully went on and on about it.

You got three of the obscures, but missed one of the obvious ones. :D

Stumped, handling the ball and obstructing the field.

The fucking White Sox just blew a chance for their first West Coast sweep in 12 years. And it's been less than a week, but Alex Rios sucks. Good luck starting in a $10 million hole for the next five years, Kenny Williams.

Joe Morgan sitting next to Steve Phillips. Have two bigger blowhards ever been on the air together?

And the news gets worse for the Mets, Wright might be out for the season:

I realize this team has played like shit a lot of times, but it also has been snake-bitten in the worst way.

And, still, no Giants batter went down today. Maybe Livan will have the balls to plunk somebody tomorrow night.

DirecTV just fucked me up. Cards-Padres have had two rain delays, so the game is 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth with one out. But since they only budgeted six hours on their MLB Extra Innings channel, the telecast just went off in favor of some blank screen and music. Thanks, bastards.
