After the Ryan Church debacle, I would think sitting Wright for the rest of the year would be a no-brainer. Pun intended.

And Santana threw at two guys yesterday and hit one of them. It's over. No need to keep knocking Giants down.

That was really on a tee, wasn't it?

Of course, if Tiger had seen it on that tee today he'd have put it over the pin and into the ankle-high rough behind the green ...

You really think the Pirates would draft either guy? They'll take some borderline first-round prospect and make noise about spending "above slot" later in the draft again.

I'm not so sure about that.
What's their record since the break? What's the record in August?

Look at the bright side. You won't have to endure another brutal September meltdown.

They doing the Phillies-Braves game? That would explain how Claudette spontaneously formed a few hundred miles south.

I'm pretty sure the score line of '17-8 (13)' has never occurred before.

Because unlike the Nats (especially if they fail to sign their first-round pick two years running), they've been aggressive in signing all their picks to above-slot contracts. And I've heard the Nats offered between $14 to $16 million on MLB radio. If Strasburg turns that down ... wow.

The way the Bucs are playing since all the trades, they just might make it happen!

The Orioles lost 17-8 today to the Angels. In 13 innings.

    I'm not kidding.

Phillips makes watching the game an absolute chore. I gave it two innings and got fed up.
