He wasn't even the only starting pitcher charged with 10 earned runs that day. Wandy Rodriguez gave up eight in the first, one in the second and one in the fourth against Milwaukee, raising his ERA about a run.

That's called taking one for the team.

The fact the O's got anything for Huff right now is amazing. He's been damn near useless.

    Thanks for McLouth, Pittsburgh. :D

While that all seems to support my argument that the Pirates did not get enough for McLouth, perhaps there is a bit of karma involved here. McLouth was put on the DL today due a lingering hamstring problem.

We suddenly have a one-sided plunkfest by D-backs P Max Scherzer in Atlanta, loading the bases.

    WTF?

Isn't the point to get them the most money? What other measurement for an agent is there?

Of course it is. But when you cost a client a year of high money in hopes of getting him higher money per year (with one fewer high earning year in the mix), at some point you have to look at the bottom line (total potential money earned by age 35) and say WTF are they thinking.

    What he said.

I don't think you can question he's good at what he does, even if being an SOB is part of that. He's responsible for two of the worst contracts out there (Zito and Andruw Jones). No teams are going to allow themselves to get pantsed like that.

If Curt Schilling was right about anything he was right about there being no need for sports agents.

Why doesn't someone do the math and figure out how much money Scott Boras has cost Jason Varitek in the last 15 years or so.

Boras has an estimated net worth of $500M. He's not a performer, has never thrilled/entertained anyone and is of no value to anybody other than people unwise enough to give him stupendous chunks of their earnings.
