#2 pick Dustin Ackley signs for almost $10 mil, per MLB Network.

MLB Network is really letting folks down right now. It's 10 minutes after midnight. I don't give a shit about the Oakland-NY game.

Hitting refresh on a Web site 15 times is not sane.

    This is bullshit.

I really thought Strasburg wasn't going to sign. Good for the Nats.

Also, the Rockies signed Tyler Matzek -- who was looking for prep record money, at least pitching-wise --for $3.9 million.

Here's a decent place for updates. It's BA's Twitter page:

Yea, almost as soon as I posted.

Such a relief the Lerners got this done. I hope the kid is the real deal.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

    Less than 20 mil, too.

I will be there tonight to see him introduced to us starving faithful.

Nats kicked boras' ass. Good for them.

$50 mil my ass. I'll bet anyone right here right now that he doesn't make anywhere close to $25 mil as a ballplayer, never mind the $50 mil boras was gonna get him before he ever threw a pitch.

Well, it was like that with Boras and Dice-K, too. He talked about getting $100 million-plus for Dice-K when the Red Sox held all the leverage. Same here. You know Boras and Strasburg probably didn't want to delay the service time clock by a year because they could only surpass the previous record contract by double. Boras probably just talked just to hear himself talk.
