It's calculated the same way as any other ERA.

    ER * 9 / IP

    (6 *9)/0.67 = 81

6 runs in 2/3 of an inning = 9 runs in 1 inning. 81.00 ERA.

    So how is it calculated?

I know how to calculate an ERA, but I did it, and it came out to the 90 something.

    Better check my math again.

OK, I had scribbed out a few numbers and had it right originally, 80 point something.

Harang out the rest of the season.

Yeah, this is probably Dusty's fault, too. Damn Dusty, overworking those damn appendixes.

I'm not sure which is funnier: Perez' outing, or ...

    Oliver Perez lhp
    3 years/$36M (2009-11)
re-signed by NY Mets as a free agent 2/2/09
    09:$12M, 10:$12M, 11:$12M

/Of course, Pedro is busy pitching the Mets back into the game

I'm waaay late to the party, but Jim Rice can cram this ... "It was a clean game, and now they’re setting a bad example for the young guys.” ... up his ass.

I was those kids' age at the time of Rice's prime. And while I have a deep affinity for that era, as all baseball fans do for their youth, I do know I learned about cocaine and labor disputes well ahead of what I would've otherwise thanks to baseball.

And today's dreadlocks and baggy pants -- oh the horrors! -- are yesterday's afro's, beards and 'staches.

You're in the Hall and I'm glad you are, but STFU Rice.

Back in the day, we called it a "natural":

Holy fuck. The Mets just lost on a game-ending unassisted triple play.

It just gets better and better.

Francoeur was the winning run after the Phils opened the 9th by making three straight errors. And the guy that booted two of them (Bruntlett) gets the UTP.

Edit: apparently just two errors. The third apparently a generous infield single.
