When the Twins miss the playoffs, it'll be because they wasted several starts on Kyle Lohse instead of fuckin stud Francisco Liriano.

The Twins are automatic when it is Santana and Liriano. Radke is pitching like a pretty decent number 3. After that, though, they look really thin. I know how hot they've been, but anyone else think they may be more than just a bat short?

Yeah, I get Tony Graffanino and Frank Catalanatto mixed up all the time.

Either way, it equals this in the end for the Brewers ...

Has Ryan ever dealt prospects for a guy who could help midseason? Kielty was in the bigs when they traded for Stewart, correct?

The hilarious thing is they grew up about 30 minutes from each other on Long Island.

That'll equal a win for me in my bet with A_F!!!  :D

Hey Moddy, if you vote for my boy Verlander for AL ROY, I'll vote for your boy Zimmerman for NL ROY. :D ;)

Both are not given as much credit as they deserve.

Kielty had had a cup of coffee, but was part of the huge glut of outfielders that included Buck Buchanon, Michael Restovich, Jason Kubel, Michael Ryan, Michael Cuddyer, etc.

The good answer to your question is, he isn't likely to part with top pitching prospects midseason when the market is inflated. Position players might be another story.

As someone said on another thread, the Twins could have had Soriano last year. All it would have cost them is Francisco Liriano. The 2006 AL ROY.

    Re: Baseball thread IX...

I was thinking about that after I posted it. Rincon and Nathan are untouchable for two innings and Jesse Crain has pitched a lot better as of late. I can't stand Carlos Silva. The single-digit walks was impressive last year, but I didn't understand how he didn't get lit up every time he stepped on the mound. This year has seemed more of what he should be to me. I don't know why I make distinctions like this; it's kind of random, but I can love watching somone like Jamie Moyer pitch and hate watching someone like Silva pitch.
