Loved the Bronx Windy City cheer for Novoa when he finally threw a strike.

Somehow I think this game is far from over. I even think the Cubs'll rally, maybe even win.

And the Cubs have a man down before ESPN gets back from commercial.

    Catch the fever.

I can hear (on the ESPN telecast) a young kid screaming something every so often.

Are they now being taunted by the young Chicagoans?

    Suck it.

Did John Mabry actually choose to be on the Cubs, or was he traded?

The Mets aren't winning anything if Pedro's not right in October.

    Daddy,

Not sure I'd qualify Guardado's save as sloppy. He retired the first two in order, got two quick strikes on Barmes, who then homered. Yeah, it's a run, but you pitch differently protecting a three-run lead than a one-run lead. Plus, he got Helton rather easily.

Solo home runs can be rally killers.

OIther than that, I agree with you wholeheartedly -- Krivsky should be GM of the year.

    I hear ya.

But I will always call a 9.00 ERA save sloppy.

    Just my thing, I suppose.

Understand. It'll slook sloppy on paper.

But I'd rather him give up the solo HR than a base hit in that situation.

I'll give him credit for a homer over a walk.
