Without knowing the ocntract details, Farnsworth would strike me as a guy you might sign for a few more years rather than a rent-a-closer.

What's Wickman's contract like? Anyone know?

I'm not sure about Wickman, but Farnsworth was a pending free agent. Now he's with the Yanks.

BTW, spnited, RBI singles by Michael Cuddyer and someone named M-A-U-E-R put the Twins on top of Tampa Bay 5-3.

Jeebus bless getaway day baseball on the radio.

Wickman signed a one-year deal worth $5 million over the winter.

The White Sox may as well try to hit Zumaya with their dicks...

Yeah, that was quite impressive again(s)t the heart of Chicago's lineup. And yeah, as a Tiger fan, I have a steely boner right now.

I wish they'd leave him in for the ninth.

Honestly, they should, if nothing else for the mental advantage he's got to have right now.

But I suppose that could start cluhouse problems.

    Seriously sick shit, either way.

Since it was 7-8-9 due up (even tho two were pinch hitters), it's not a bad call, going with Jones. Most of Jones' problems this year were when they had him go two innings.

He is pretty cardiac at times, tho. But if Zumaya had gone three innings, he likely would have Friday and Saturday off. Now, he'll probably just get Friday off.

I agree, Hank. Eventhough Jones is pretty solid in save opps, he just scares me...always.

Nathan K's the side to give the Twins their seventh in a row.

Don't check your rearview mirror, Sox fans.

Nobody back here but us irrelevent bottom-feeders.

    Oh me too.

Just thought of another reason. With the change from Rogers' softer stuff to Zumaya's hard stuff, then back to Jones' softer stuff, it could have really kept the Sox off balance a bit.
