    Re: White Sox Baseball...

Let's not act as if a rare Sox fan on this site wants to promote his team, then he's somehow different from the 99 other assbags who have blinders for the BoSox, Yankees, Mets, etc.

Not to interrupt with any kind of analysis, but, as a Sox fan, I haven't given up on the season. However, two things made Chicago a championship ballclub -- great pitching and timely hitting. The Sox haven't had the former for about six weeks now (outside of Jon Garland, and when Garland's your ace, well ...) and the latter has been nonexistent since the the season resumed post-ASB. Last year, they got all the breaks and made their own when they had to. This year, they're not getting any breaks, and they sure as hell aren't making any. The Sox have enough talent to turn things around, but they seem to be losing most of their confidence as well as most of their games lately. Last year, I would watch the team and know they were gonna win somehow. I rarely feel that way anymore. I think the team itself may be facing a similar crisis of confidence.

Thanks, ESPN. Now all outsiders think everyone in the media sweats Boston and New York.

The Devil Rays rule and Ty Wigginton is the reason why.
    Best 3B ever.

That's what happens when you try to be a team player and allow the inferior shortstop stay at his position.

Are you telling me to put the balm on?

A Maestro told you to put the balm on? Don't you know what a balm does? It's unpredictable. Nobody knows what it's gonna do!

Ah, that last part seems to point out the reason for the rant. He's killing one of my teams, too.
I think it is the shoulder and the Padres are jackasses for not putting him on the DL for a couple of weeks to try to get him healthy when he first hurt it.

Derrick Turnbow - hurt or is this the real Turnbow?

Brewers need Jose Capellan to be healthy, big-time ...

either that or he's got all the toughness of a sponge.

funny, too, the inference that ARod is a team player when his contract is the greatest albatross in the history of professional sports. He wanted to make twice as much as the previous highest-paid player. Some team player, that.

My thoughts exactly. If he truly cared about winning, he could have stayed in Seattle when he had a chance to do something there. And yet, the money talked and he listened when Texas cut the blank check.

Nice bat, no doubt, but I'll always remember him for swatting the glove in the ALCS while running down the first-base line in the 2004 ALCS. That moment defines A-Rod to me.
