Joe Morgan is now saying he has claimed for two years that the Cubs shouldn't just rely on Prior and Wood, that they should have gotten other starters, that they should have developed their offense, blahblahblah ...

Any idiot could say this NOW. Has he really been saying it for the last two years?

    Dear Sean Marshall,

I'm sorry you play for a sorry-ass team that can't play defense and should have had at least nine runs so far tonight. If you play your cards right, you might be able to force a trade before Dusty fucks up your arm, too.

    Sincerely,
    Hammer Pants

He's been saying it for at least one year, since the Fire Joe Morgan blog teed off on him last summer for saying it (among other things).

I found a couple of other pro-Cubs sites dissing him for it going back a couple of years. In fact, Cubs fans seem to hate Joe Morgan.

    So, yeah.

The only thing more impressive than the Mets' 2 grannnies in the same inning was when Fernando Tatis hit 2 grand slams in the same inning.

    Man, the Cubs suck cock.

Holy shit. Mets just hit their second slam of the inning, an inning with at least two Todd Walker errors.

Why oh why do I watch this team every summer? It's torture.

The Mets just hit another homer in this insane inning.

It began with a 5-2 Cubs lead. Now it's Mets 13-5.

This is the part of the thread where mean ol' spnited tells us looser fanboys to go whine somewhere else, because this is a real baseball thread.

How about this tonight: Jacque Jones is 0-for-53 when the count is 0-2, the worst such mark in baseball.

Joe Morgan can't believe it, so he questions the validity of said stat. His reply: "I need to check that...statistics can be incorrect."

That fucking sixth inning at Wrigley still isn't over.

I'm starting to believe the rep on many Cubs' fans. If that shit happens in Boston, what happens? A borderline riot, at least.

    17 batters.

    17 goddamn batters.

    Two grand slams.

    One inning.

    David Wright is my hero.

He's already the best Met that ever lived or ever will live...I'm just waiting for his cocaine problem to come to light, life can't be this good.

Meanwhile this game is like Utah vs. Jersey on the old Bases Loaded for NES.

It finally ends on a WARNING TRACK fly ball.

    Nice inning, Baby Bears.
