Six no-hit innings for the Yankee bullpen -- and they didn't even use their three best relievers (including Robertson after Mo and Hughes).

Is it a bad thing a NYC cabbie told me I looked like Michael Kay?

Good list, but he missed the top three reasons.

    1. Ownership with limited funds and even less interest in winning.
    2. A parade of bad baseball people at the top making one stupid decision after another.
    3. Relatively low revenues even if the fans would show up, which they don't.

He can use one apiece in 2010, 2011 and 2012. *ducking and running*

Actually, I thought he alluded pretty well to the first two on your list (the Michael Keaton quote was gold). The third one, well, I'd bet you those revenues would skyrocket if they tried.

Yeah, I've seen that quote before. It just wasn't on the list and those really are the reasons they have sucked for so long. Stupid, cheap and poor is a horrible combination.

(And no, the revenue would still suck even if they tried, because they are in a small media market and the fans didn't even show up when the team was good in the early '90s.)

They also had a shithole park in the early 1990s and a palace to play in now.

If they were even competitive, people would come.

Well, Verlander won't get win No. 17 tonight, because the Tigers forgot to bring their bats from Tampa.

Robinson Tejeda now has a consecutive scoreless streak of 18 innings (or something like that).

My team is poorer than you're team.

Your team is Donald Trump. My team is Etheopia.

And Billy Butler continues to mash.

the Royals fucked their season long ago. About damn time they started to try to fuck with someone else's

You really think the ballpark is going to get it done in a town where they had large numbers of empty seats for three consecutive seasons in the playoffs? Oh, and with potential fans who grew up on 17 years of shit?

No offense Zeke, but you're off base on this one.

What's up with Helton? Why wasn't he up there in the bottom of the ninth?
