I hope the Mariners and Rangers can get this game in tonight. Based on the forecast I'll be surprised if they play baseball at all tomorrow. Would MLB let them play a triple-header on Sunday? :D

EDIT: Rained out. Double-header on Sunday.

  3. Fuck the Phillies entire bullpen with a rusty machete.

What Gene said. Yes, the bullpen is shaky. Yes, it will probably keep the Phils from winning again. Yes, Brad Lidge should change his number to 99.
But dammit, Lidge is a big reason they have a "2008 champions" flag flying alongside the 1980 one. Cut the man some slack. Even if he has a shit-tastic season this year, he's earned some sort of pass for at least one year.

Jeebus, it's a fucking monsoon in Arlington. They're going to try to get this game in and the field will be in no way playable for tomorrow's doubleheader.

And just when I write that, they bring in the tarp.

Tomorrow will be at the third doubleheader for Texas in the last month or so.

Yes, the Rangers made a lot of mistakes in this game. But Jeebus Mahoney! What a time to call the frikkin' game. Two men on and no outs. Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!

With the way it's been raining the last couple of days I'll be amazed if they get one game - much less two games - in on Sunday. The options I've heard to make up the games are:

    1. Seattle has an off day on Monday. MLB could call for the
Mariners and Rangers to play an afternoon game on Monday
followed by the regularly scheduled Athletics/Rangers game.
    2. The games would be made-up in double-headers when Texas
plays Seattle at the end of the regular season.

I predict craziness ahead. The way the forecast is looking there will not be any baseball played in Arlington till Tuesday [hush hush, keep it down now]. I wonder if they could move the games a few blocks over to the JJDS [Jerry Jones Death Star].

Unpossible on the Death Star option. I asked no less an authority than Jerry's chief architect a couple of months ago and he said there is no baseball configuration for Jerry World. He said politically it just couldn't be worked in.

Well, two doubleheaders = two fewer chances for Millwood to start. That dude is cooked.

  11. I keep thinking Joe Mauer is closer to .400 than he really is. .367 is certainly nothing to sneeze at, but it just drives home the fact that .400 is hard to achieve.

I am in shock over what Tommy Hunter is doing in Arlington right now.
