Ernie Harwell is at Comerica Park tonight. He's already addressed manager and players.

He's set to address the fans during the third inning.

2009 AL MVP Derek Jeter just Bill Bucknered a ball in the Bronx.

Of course, Mauer would have turned it into a four-base error.

The Angels have evidently decided their only chance of getting past the first round of the playoffs is for the Sox to win the AL East. A three-run Sox rally so far (and there will be more) features two botched sure double plays.
They could play the Sox 100 times in games that matter and not win three. That's not the manager's problem. It's collective mental weakness.

Derek Jeter grounds out to the right side to send Brett Gardner to third with one out.

You know why? Because that's what MVPs do.

Yanks might be peaking too soon, but they are on fire.

Zobrist comes back from the 12-hour rain delay in Baltimore and homers to center field in the top of the ninth to tie Rays-Orioles at 2-all.

I think there are 100 people in the stands.

Edit: And then Wieters homers in the bottom of the ninth to give the win to the Birds. Is it hockey season yet?

Lazy-ass Juan Rivera turns into spectator on that weak flyball by Gonzalez, pulling up to let it land three feet in front of him rather than haul ass and dive and probably catch it.

Embarrassing ending in Boston. Bases loaded, two outs, Angels up 8-7, full count to Nick Green. Brian Fuentes could not have throw a better pitch, right at the knees for a strike ... and it was called ball four. We're not talking an inch low. We're talking he hit the frickin' strike zone.
