In fact, the should just award both the MVP and Cy Young to Derek from now until the time he retires as the greatest player in the history of baseball.

FYI, with any luck, Jeter can move past Harold Baines on the all-time hit list sometime next September.

Is Yahoo fucking with me, or did Josh Anderson really hit a 3-run homer. In Comerica?

    Yes he did.

It was down the right field line, but it was a good 15 rows back too.

Although it shouldn't count since it came off Andres Galarraga, who's pitching line went strikeout, walk, single, home run, hit by pitch, single, yanked.

Good move getting Greinke out after 5...get him the win, make sure the elbow is OK.

Derek Jeter would have played through the injury.

Tell that to my fantasy baseball teams playing in championship series this week. I need more Greinke goodness, dammit!

    :)

Trey Hillman normally doesn't subscribe to this theory. But in this instance, the right move.

Even Trey knows not to fuck with the franchise. It might be the only thing he knows... but at least he knows that.

Wow. Must be some Greinke-karma or something.

Speaking of Dennis Leonard, I looked up his stats the other day because my dad was talking about how much he missed watching Leonard pitch. From 1976-1979, he threw 69 complete games.

    Geezus ...

Fuck that! Jeter would have caught the line drive. Thus, no injury.
