You're preaching to the choir here, Zeke. While I'm consumed with fear that the Steelers might lose tonight, I did glance at the ESPN scoreboard to see about that game. And I was happy to see that score. Very happy.

And the Reds continue their march toward mediocrity.

    73-77
    12 games left.

I know they have a lot of air time to fill, but can anyone honestly tell me that ESPN can't find someone better than Steve Phillips?

Kruk sounds like the Dalai Lama compared to that moron. They should have him do some more fake press conferences.

A win tomorrow, and, much the the Leyland haters dismay, Detroit will have all but wrapped up a playoff berth.

Yeah I'm gonna be bummed if I'm taking a vacation when the Mets are eliminated.

Tied 4-4, Dodgers load the bases against Alan Embree with no one out in the sixth. Cla Meredith comes on to get a forceout at home, then a 1-2-3 double play.

Scott Linebrink strikes out Nomar Garciaparra with two on in the 8th to keep Padres ahead 6-5. San Diego adds three more in the 9th, only to have Jeff Kent and J.D. Drew lead off the bottom with solo homers.

Trevor Hoffman is now on to preserve a 9-7 lead.

Holy Shit! Russell Martin just homered on Hoffman's first pitch. 9-8.

Incredible! Marlon Anderson just hit out his second pitch! 9-9.

Anderson is 5-for-5 with two singles, a triple and two homers.

In the 9th, the Dodgers hit four homers in 8 pitches, becoming the first team to hit four in an inning since 1964.
