The Astros' offense doesn't worry me, though.

Mets fans should not be worried about the Cardinals. Mark Mulder tattooed again today: 9 ER in 2 1/3 IP by the ChiSox. His ERA: A Rodrigo Lopez-like 6.09.

Time to stop thinking this guy's a good pitcher because he wins a lot of games.

Loved that 11-run inning by the White Sox. Cardinals pitching doesn't look great, the Mets have their own issues ... the NL looks wide open.

And the Tigers are almost matching the ChiSox run for run tonight. They're up 10-0 on Milwaukee in the seventh.

  5. Do you think the Cubs may try to trade Greg Maddux? All this losing must wear thin for Maddux and you have to think he'd make a very good #3 for a lot of teams (I'm assuming he would want to stay in the NL). The Dodgers have a pretty stocked minor league system and Maddux could put them over the top in the NL West (and LA is pretty close to Los Vegas - Maddux's home).

Disco Stu thinks Maddux should work pro bono. :D

We need a nickname for the Pirates-Royals series. Any ideas?

Leave it to the Phils to have a guy with 7 RBIs ... and lose ... scoring 7 runs in the process.

Props to the vaunted Yankees pitching staff, allowing Ryan Howard to drive in seven. Even bigger props to the legendary Phillies pitching staff, allowing nine Yankee runs to score. It's like high-quality softball, minus beer kegs at every base.
