Great comeback win by the Reds aided by two walks and a dumb defensive play by David Wright. That ball was going foul.

More important, Joe Mays looked good in his first Reds start, going six innings (his longest start of the year).

Could be the start of a nice stretch to end June. After tomorrow, the Reds get Cleveland and KC to finish the month and start July.

Hey, Kansas City has won four out of five, all against NL Central teams.

I've got him on mine, too....luckily for me he was on the bench for this one. I wanted no part of a mediocre pitcher facing that offense right now.

Whoever it was talking about the Cardinals throwing Carpenter, Mulder, Marquis and Suppan at a playoff opponent as if it was something impressive needs to take a look at what the White Sox did to Mulder and Marquis the last two days.

Just them winning four out of five period, it's an accomplishment. I'm just glad to see that one of my two teams freed Joey Gathright. I like that trade for the Royals.

Rangers and A's locked in an underwhelming battle for the AL West. You're Jon Daniels. What do you do?

Dusty and Rothschild both said yesterday that moving him to closer wasn't an option because, according to them, it takes too long for him to get loose. Dusty used the same excuse after the 03 playoffs when he was asked why he used slapdicks like Dave Veres and Mark Guthrie instead of Matt Clement in Game 7.

Well, if I could have made it to a game or two -- or watched a game or two -- that would have been preferred. Why do I still care about the worst two teams in baseball? :-\
