I'm glad you guys have come to grips with the fact that your favorite team doesn't matter. [/east coast dickhead] :D ;D :D

Something I heard on radio last night intrigued me. The two hosts agreed that Manny wasn't a Hall of Famer, but Ortiz was, assuming he kept up his current pace. But how old is Ortiz? He's got less than 200 career homers, right? I agree he's the BoSox top player, but does he really have the chance (or time) to put up HofF numbers?

You heard that? Did you find out if those folks were on crack?

Ortiz is an unbelievable clutch player, but he's 30 years old and he has 198 career homers. His body type suggests he won't punish the ball til age 40, a la Edgar Martinez. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's hard to forget Mo Vaughn stumbling around at 34. Plus, there's that whole DH thing (Paul Molitor ended up playing the majority of his games at DH, but I think most people remember him as an infielder for the Brewers).

Manny has 455 homers and seems as safe a bet as anyone to get to 500. He should be an iron-clad HOF lock, but who knows if his reputation will precede him.

They're far from MY favorite team. They're just the World Series champs. Fucking ESPN!

Oh, I'm alive if far from well.
Rain may be the only thing that keeps the Nats from losing today.

Bynum was hospitalized with a blood clot in his arm, a problem he's had in the past apparently. He'll probably be the one headed to the DL.

Is the National League really this bad? Every day, it seems the AL rips the NL. Shit, even the ROYALS have a winning record against the NL this year. Surely the NL can't be that bad. Can it?

It is. Just compare Tampa Bay's lineup to that of the Pirates or Cubs.
