They did have a doubleheader, a makeup from Saturday's rainout.

Same award Dwyane Wade would have gotten for being on a .429 team in the Finals had the Heat lost in 7.

    MVP.

Holy shit, Brad Lidge just blew up again.

ChiSox were down 9-1 and are now tied 9-9.

Iguchi just followed a three-run shot in the 8th with a grand slam in the 9th off Lidge. 9-9 going into extras.

Edit: Damn, you guys are quick.

I was one of three people in America left watching the Yankees/Marlins game on ESPN (they were showing it here instead of Astros/White Sox). It was a day/night rain make up. I haven't seen Yankee Stadium look that empty since 1991. Anyhow, they cut to the Astos/Sox game one pitch before Iguchi hit the slam.

I wonder the same thing about Padilla. Every time I see him, he has great stuff and no results.

Oh, and fuck the Sox. This team just won't fucking lose. It won't. I hate them.

I was listening to a Rangers game on XM recently (God bless you satellite radio) and the Rangers radio guys were saying he just inexplicably goes away from his strength, which apparently is hard stuff. He'll be dominating, then just start throwing off-speed stuff for the hell of it and he'll get tattooed.

I was reading one of those preseason magazines a couple of years ago, and it had a players poll. NL East players said Padilla (then of the Phils) had the best stuff in the division. Not Smoltz. Not Pedro. Not Wagner. I was blown away, but then I saw a few of his starts on TV and one in person and was blown away by how mediocre he is with such great stuff. The movement he has is unreal.

I could see it now. Congratulations to Alfonzo Soriano for winning the MVP and leading the Nationals to a 77-85 record.  ::)
