Did you think the Cubs would beat the White Sox? If so, hahahahahahahahahaha.

Looking at those two teams' lineups is like night and day.

I'll bet you right now that Liriano at least splits with Papelbon in postseason honors. The way Liriano's going, it would be hard not to hand him some serious hardware (1.76 ERA in eight starts).

That, and I can't help but think Papelbon is showing signs he might return to Earth soon.

Let me add another: Royals win.

Yep, just another day of the AL Central whupping up the NL Central.

Except in Cincinnati, where the Indians coughed up a 7-0 lead and the Reds won on a ninth-inning grand slam. Lord, the Indians are snakebit, aren't they?

    Snakebit? No. Their bullpen sucks.

The Cardinals have lost nine of their last 10. What a shame. :D

Well, at least they have the Best Fans in Baseball (who were booing after the Royals won) to fall back on. ::)

A.J. Pierzynski just hit a two-out home run to turn a 6-5 Cubs lead in the ninth into an 8-6 White Sox lead.

Cubs fans are about to revolt - littering the field with garbage.

That was fucking classic. And there are so many jokes in a sentence that includes "Cubs fans" and "garbage." I would love to be in the stands to see the fights.
