I knew I liked Stark for a reason.

He got a bunt single in the first, just before Johnson's three-run home run. Pitch was inside, about on his shoes.  Paciorek pretty much sprung a woody gushing about being able to bunt that ball.

I still want to know what's up with Patterson.    It is Kids Run the Show Day at the stadium and they have some 9-year-old in the booth.  He keeps asking, "What happened to Patterson?"    Someone answer the kid's question.

Ryan Zimmerman is Prince Fielder's bitch. [/hiModdy!]

Stark is pretty much dead on in his assessment of Z. The kid is polished beyond his years.

Bub, how did the Brewers do when the Nats were there last month? Memory is foggy.

Strain of the right forearm. See you in two months.

I'm beginning to think BYH might have been right on one of the earlier incarnations of this thread.

    Elbow?

I'm man enough to admit the Nats swept.

But how are the Nats doing now? My memory (cough, 38-51) is a little foggy (cough, Brewers 44-45, 2 games out of the NL's lame ass Wild Card race) too.

Right now, they're beating the Padres.
If they hold on, they're 1-0 since July 8.

And if the Brewers don't beat the Cubs today, the dog ass Baby Bears (as my daughter calls them) will have taken three-of-four at Miller Park when the Brewers had the perfect opportunity to take the NL Wild Card lead no one seems to want.

In other words, I shouldn't be talking shit about anything.

Nor should I as a Nats fan.
Except about Zimmerman. Him I'll talk shit about, plenty.

Brewers TV just reported that Prior suffered the oblique strain on his right side during BATTING practice yesterday.

  10. Bubbler for what its worth - I gave Capuano a slight edge over Brandon Webb as the first half NL Cy Young (Stark picked Webb as the first half NL Cy Young).

If it wasn't for that awful start at the Metrodome - Capuano would have a 2.88 ERA and a 10-3 record (as it is he's 10-4 with a 3.21)

I'm starting to wonder if ol' Mark's not just a big softie.
