Still have visions of Eagles and Steelers fans taunting each other on opposing sides of Beaver Canyon, that’s all. I do think the state would spontaneously combust if they ever meet in the Super Bowl. Harrisburg definitely would.

I think Swingline is right — Reid is way more focused on the fun than on the history or the Hall. He’s having a blast with this team and all the innovative and crazy things he can do with a guy like Mahomes behind the wheel.

In my limited experience, Eagles-Steelers wasn’t really a rivalry, or at least an angry one. I actually expected to find it was some kind of blood feud and was shocked at the indifference, at least in the Philly suburbs.

It's hard to create a really strong interconference rivalry in the NFL because the teams don't play each other enough. Also, both teams are in divisions with really really strong rivalries fed on twice a season meetings. Even Philly fans have only so much hate to go around.

It's weird how even intraconference series can ebb and flow based on the peculiarities of the schedule and where each team finishes.

The Seahawks and Panthers played five times from 1995-2011 (Seattle was in the AFC from 1977-2001).
They played seven times from 2012-2016 (twice in playoffs).
    They haven't played since.

They played this year, in 2019 and 2018.

Teams play each team from their conference at least once every three years, and then two additional teams each year based on where they finish. They play each team from the other conference once every four years and now with the 17th game an additional out of conference team each year based on where they finish.

Sorry when Tyler Huntley is a "Pro-Bowler" (replacement for Josh Allen) then its almost meaningless IMHO.
