I'm with Armchair with Kevin Kietzman, who rolled out that story on WHB. KK is a K-State guy thru and thru.

I'll believe that story if one of those schools publicly come out and say "yeah, that's true.".

The Big 10, in which I also agree with, will not have ND fuck them over again.

IF this particular / most recent version of the story has any truth, I'm guessing it's only part of the story.

I still feel like the B10 goes to 16, this scenario simply works the most leverage against ND. Join now, along with the other 3 listed...we add one more Big Eat school, TBD. Don't join now....we take the 3 listed, snatch 2 more from the Big East & nuke ND's league....leaving the Irish "holding the bag." If you read Father Jenkins (ND President) quotes, this is the scenario ND most wants to avoid. I'm guessing Delaney & crew would see this as the way to Force ND's hand....as much as it can be forced.

That is a good one. If I'm the Big Ten, I say fuck Notre Dame. Grab Nebraska and Missouri and move on.

Holy balls. That would be massive, in about eleventybillion ways.

Just realized Chip Brown wrote that. He's no dude-in-his-basement blogger.

Also, word is that Boise State will be invited to the Mountain West as early as Monday.

If something like those Big 12 teams going to the Pac 10 happens and Missouri and Nebraska go to the Big Ten as expected, what happens to the other four Big 12 teams? Outside of Kansas, none of them are exactly headliners and no real fit anywhere else. Would it be crazy to think they merged into the MWC, too? If the MWC gets Boise, as expected, it's not the flashiest of conferences but a pretty solid one. All of it is so nuts, it's not impossible to speculate anything.

So basically these conferences want to follow the SEC's lead and start an East and West division? That's the only feasible way the Pac 10 could do it.

I think it said it would be the Big 12 teams plus Arizona and ASU. So more or yes, yup.

For the Pac-10, wouldn't it make a hell of a lot of sense? They'd have their old-school Pac 8, and just have a mirror division to the east.

It just seems odd that the MWC, which was formed when the old WAC got too big and unwieldy, would want to get big and unwieldy all over again. But, hey, if Boise joins, they might actually play more than one decent team a year. What a concept.
