They're making an awfully big sacrifice to send the football team to a conference that might be marginally better than the MWC but with a lot more travel. Joining the Big East of West Virginia, Pitt and Syracuse is a far sight different than joining the Big East of Central Florida, SMU and Memphis.

I agree. At best, it's a lateral move for them football-wise, especially in the new Big East.

When the Big East's leftovers merge with MWCUSA, it won't really matter.

    The MWC-CUSA merger is dead.

If there was a way to have a dynamic schedule involving the Big East, C- USA, and the MWC to ensure the strongest opponents available for a team in the running for a playoff spot, I think it would make for some interesting football.

Agreed again. Much more travel, to boot.

Missouri has been in the SEC for less than 17 hours and already matched the number of regular season baseball, men's basketball and football championships it won in the Big 12. Impressive. :D

LOL. The question is, do you think they're going to win more titles in those sports than they did in the Big 12?

Basketball could be a possibility, depending on when Calipari bails ahead of the Yahoo!/NCAA investigators how long Cal stays at UK.

Combine the three and split them into a top division (BCS automatic qualifier) and bottom division (non-BCS). Initial placement can be based on overall records over the last 10 years. At the end of each season, the last-place team in the top division gets bumped into the lower division and the champion of the lower division gets bumped up.

The BCS is gone. AQ status is gone.
