Yeah, Serbia wants no part of having to go to Ames.

While I don't think an even playing field was ever a goal, we've seen that even pro leagues realize the need for a competitive balance.

Brown does a pretty damn job explaining everything in the Big 12.

Interesting nuggets are that the California schools would be opposed to adding a "religious school" to the Pac-10, which would be bad for Baylor.

Also, granted, this is from the ESPN report, but it looks like the Big 10 might be looking more at Maryland and less at Missouri.

Schlabach does a nice job explaining as well...

Interesting nugget about how Florida doesn't want FSU or Miami because they use the SEC as an advantage in recruiting and that if the SEC does expand, Virginia Tech would likely get the first invite.

Welcome to the world of college football and the business of athletics, newbie. Let me help you dust yourself off after getting thrown off of Jim Delany's horse.

Iowa State fans need to read this. This is beautiful.

My brother and I worked on it all afternoon. I give him credit for all the Kansas/Nebraska comments. Those had me on the floor.

Is ND really too arrogant to see the benefits of Big 10 membership?

TV money is better. Football is better (yes, 8 Big 10 games, can still play Navy and USC, plus two more home games, certainly better some of the drek they have on their future schedules), and there is no question the Big 10 is a better fit for every other sport they field that now competes under the Big East banner.

Notre Dame is the most arrogant program in the country by a mile. Florida, Texas and Alabama battle it out for a distant second.

At some point, Notre Dame isn't going to be able to command the kind of TV contract it once did. Hopefully, someone there is smart enough to realize that and see the benefits the Big 10 has to offer.

Especially if the Big 10 promises to only add ND and to stay at 12 teams.
