I'm on AAC boards a good bit of late, and I really don't understand the CSU love.

Unless you need to get to the west side of Fort Fun and you get stuck for 20 minutes.

Anyone who has tried to get to 287 north from I-25 knows what an absolute mess Fort Collins traffic can be.

I can squint and see where there is potential for a good program if and when they stop actively stepping on their own dicks.

Oh, no doubt, though I was up there two weeks ago on a Wednesday morning/afternoon and it wasn't *too* bad.

Theoretically Denver is an attractive TV market. But interest in CSU is pretty limited in Denver. The radio rights have bounced around various stations in Denver. I don't think the all sports stations have ever carried the games.

They just hired Steve Addazio as head coach. That leads me to believe they will be stepping on their dicks for a while longer, certainly during his tenure as coach.

It’s the No. 2 school in a growing state with a nearly-new stadium and great town to recruit to. I don’t think it is outlandish to think they could grow to an average 30k a game with a competent team. By 2050, they may be in better shape than K-State or Okie Lite.

I have not heard one good thing said about him since he arrived. Horrible hire.

Houston is another "fastest growing" areas, and although I'm biased, working for the university and all, the growth in the area has certainly helped us out. If you're going to take a chance on an "ascendant" program, it's probably best to do so because of geographical or population reasons, as opposed to assuming they'll retain the same coach for X years.
