BCS leagues expanding - yeah?

Most POS systems have a tip screen built in. Was at the minor league soccer game last night and had already spent $15 on a large craft beer. I damn sure wasn't going to tip. The people working concessions aren't making $2.13 an hour. Also, when I was at Camden Yards last year, the lady who sold our beer at the market explicitly told us not to tip, because she didn't know where that tip money went. It didn't go to the workers.

I've been to two Tigers games at Comerica Park this season (both were free tickets from work). Anyhow, I paid about $40 for a small stuffed Tiger (with a jersey and cap) for my granddaughter and about $5.50 for a bottle of Aquafina (which is Pepsi's bottled tap water, BTW). No cash is accepted in CoPa - only plastic.

    Interesting.

There are a few places near me that override it and don't have a tip function. A local breakfast place is one of them. I don't mind tipping someone if there's effort and labor involved, but I'd just prefer they raise the damn prices to cover everything.

Last time I went to see the Giants was the last week of the 2021 season. Everything was credit/debit only, even from the beer vendors working the grandstands. Can't imagine that's changed.

I may be in the minority, but I like the no cash allowed option.

Kills out the elderly women saying, "Wait a minute, I have the 79 cents in here someplace!"

UNC releases a forceful statement expressing its adamant opposition to expansion. I have never seen anything like it. The fact that they'd issue such a long statement and release it shortly after news broke of a Friday meeting tells me they're desperately trying to encourage others to join them because they sense one of their fellow opponents is in danger of flipping or has indicated its intention to do so.

Gotta change the name now. Maybe the Actual Classes Conference? We’ll have to grandfather UNC in.

We can now have the annual Wlat Bowl between Pitt and Stanford.
