There is probably a decent doctoral dissertation out there, or an entire book, to be written on the impact of "greater free market" behaviors on college football. As a kid, we'd get one or two games a week on the broadcast channels. Then the CFA blew everything up, cable added to it and you were able to see almost every game played somewhere via broadcast, cable or streaming. All days of the week, MAC-tion!, all hours of the day "Pac-12 After Dark." NIL, the Portal. Conference realignment, the Playoff. Is it better?

    They found a way.

To cram it all in though, flyover country has become exactly that.

Which will outlive the other, the B1G current new lineup or Donald Trump?

The B1G is just too unstable to hold together for the long haul.

Until it comes time to trim the fat in the B1G and SEC, anyhow.

If they can get six from each league they can reform the Pac-12 and call it the Pushed Aside Conference.

If it's anything like eastern Kansas they're all down in the draws and they're all cottonwoods.
