I want to know what happens to saps like Delaware and Missouri State who are paying a kings ransom to join FBS and in 5-10 years will look around and realize they are basically right back where they started in the official second tier, now with subtle notes of Temple and Louisiana Tech.

I'd bet that Fox has already whispered some numbers. The 2 PAC spent $43m to invite those schools, plus offering to pay at least part of their costs to break out. You don't do that if you don't have a buyer and some knowledge of what you can sell your product for.

One thing not yet mentioned: I think we are witnessing the last days of Hawaii football in any form.

This is why I think Vegas casinos should have been funneling money through sponsorship deals for years to Hawaii.

CW deal is working out well, and generating ancillary income via CW using the Pac-12 Network to produce its events. I can see them increasing their payments in the future, the CW wants more sports programming. Also CBSSN just lost the top four attractions on its MWC deal, which ends in 25-26, conveniently just as the new Pac-12 kicks off. And Fox is televising three Pac-2 games this year.

So, Pac-12 on CW nationwide, CBSSN nationwide, some streaming ...

It's week 3 and this will be the first time either UO or UW is available in the PNW over a free linear network. UO's first two games on the Big Ten Network were blacked out locally by Comcast. They finally hit Fox this week.

UW's games were on BTN (blacked out) and Peacock (pay). The Apple Cup is on Peacock too. UW finally hits free TV next week against Northwestern, on Fox. Welcome to the Big Ten! You get Northwestern as your first conference game, what an attraction.

Nobody is writing a big check to televise Colorado State at UConn. This is madness.

Can’t do that while holding Trump University of the Upstate and Trump University of the Big Bend to the grant of rights.

You’re right re: Wyoming. In 2022, only 45% of people born in Wyoming lived in the state. That’s last among the 50 states.
