    I see this game being pretty dull in the first half -- reminiscent of the Rams-Titans Super Bowl, when the high-scoring Rams led 9-0 at halftime. I think Indy wears down the Bears D as the game goes on and Manning hits on a big pass or two and puts the Bears in the hole. It will be a fairly boring game, where the outcome never really seems to be in doubt, but the Colts never fully dominate.

    Indianapolis 23, Chicago 10

    Addai runs for 120, and the Bears can't stop the 15-yard out.

    And Dallas Clark will be the best TE they have played all year.

    I also think that a hopped-up Grossman has at least three turnovers.

    Jaws was one of the top NFL MVP candidates in '80 (won some minor ones that weren't AP), threw for 3,500+ plus yards and had a QB rating for 90+ ... and how does he compare to Grossman?

  4. Look at his career stats. He had two (maybe three) above-average years. Jaws' entire career was basically on par with what Grossman did this season.

    Different era, Ellis. Comparing QB stats from Jaworski's era to today is basically useless. The average QB rating during Jaworski's time was close to 20 points lower than now.

    The rules are so different... like the electric chair compared with lethal injection.

    I'm not saying Jaworski was a HOFer or anything, but he was better than Grossman.

    Ditto. And Grossman damn sure hasn't put up anything close to Jaws' '80 season.

  9. He's played one (1) complete season.

  10. He's not great, he doesn't suck. He's just maddeningly inconsistent. When he's on, he looks like a top-5 QB. When he's off, he looks like a bottom-5 QB.

    As long as that and your Chicago blanket gets you through the cold winter night ...

  12. Don't have a Chicago blanket. Thanks, though. ::)
