I'm well aware that people have been screwed over in the past in gymnastics. Like any system with subjective scoring, there are going to be major issues. That still doesn't change the fact that Liukin had a better routine. And the tiebreaker was correct, but it's an incredibly screwed up way of deciding the winner (shocker, I know) that is actually the inverse of their normal scoring system.

The Chinese girl and Liukin had the exact same degree of difficult and execution score. The tie-breaker involved the two scores (highest and lowest) out of six that were thrown out to determine the execution score. In the thrown-out scores, the Chinese girl had fewer deductions than Liukin.

And I believe the difference was .1 from one of the judges.

OK, I didn't get that from the ESPN.com story. It simply said He was closer to a perfect execution score, which I surmised meant that she had a lower degree of difficulty.

I wonder how much sex is going on in the Olympic village between athletes.

How did Paul Hamm fuck him?
He may have benefited from the mistake, but he didn't make the mistake.

WOuldn't the Christian thing to do and the selfless thing to do is for Hamm to have refused the Gold Medal?

It's bullshit anyway. Butterfly should not be an Olympic sport. There should be one swimming race for 400 meters to determine the best swimmer in the world. No relays, no various strokes. There can be only one.

Days ago on this thread it was asked if the men's basketball team had peaked, and after watching them dismantle Germany and Spain, they are playing as well as a basketball team has ever played.

Once they stopped gambling so much on defense and made the extra pass to find the open shooter the rest of the world started playing for the silver.

LeBron James is also the best international basketball player on the planet right now, and its not even close.

I stand corrected. I just knew that Trammel was the silver medalist last time out.

Feel the same way about track and all those distances?

Hurdles is to sprinting as Butterfly is to free style?
