That's why I never listen to sports talk. There's nothing resembling intelligent discourse, and the talkers by and large are a bunch of pubescent neanderthals, with the exception of Kornheiser, who whines and shouts too damned much. They all need to stick to the ball sports and leave the obscure stuff to those of us who know them.

And as we well know, starman, the US did not run up scores. In fact, the US didn't crush them badly enough. The average margin should have been 60 and would have been if the refs weren't fucking the US at every turn.
    We want fucking blood!

I guess those sports talk radio guys don't understand there's a difference between playing a full game and running up the score. Were they supposed to just take shot clock violations at the end?

The Olympics are still happening? I thought they ended with Phelps' eighth medal...?

Someone wake me for the men's 800m and the women's softball and basketball gold medal games.

Once you get a double-digit lead, you're supposed to "take it easy."

Yeah. That's what they've done for about the last 6 years. ::)

So once the US wins 2 basketball gold medals, who will have a NCAA title and an Olypic gold medal as a player and a pro title and Olympic gold as a coach?

    Anne Donovan?

  8. And nailing a guy in the head with a pitch is so classy, too.

    Hopefully LaPorta will be okay.

Wow, good question. I think that would be Anne Donovan.

That would be New Jersey's Anne Donovan.

Actually, unless things have changed, Olympic basketball coaches do not receive medals. Logically, they should, but the IOC/FIBA has never been big on logic.
