I don't know why I keep watching gymnastics. It just keeps happening.

I know. They tried to screw Nastia and Shawn in the all-around but evidently failed so they're going to make up for it. I bet neither Shawn nor Nastia win the beam unless everyone else (i.e. Chinese toddler) falls.

The explanation they gave makes sense, but I still don't agree with the judging.

Bela Karolyi is outstanding. Couldn't agree with him more about Liukin and the Chinese gal just getting dual gold medals. Everyone could have lived with that since they got the SAME FREAKING SCORE.

if they're going to have gymnastics in the Olympics, put some fucking stuff in there that does away with the subjective scoring system.

And the IOC gets rid of non-subjective events like baseball and softball, with clear-cut winners.

Uh, Bob, the tiebreakers as they were did make sense. You may not have agreed with who won, but in no way is this a 'very strange tiebreaking procedure'.

In a subjective competition, Mr. Baseball, how would you have rather seen the tie broken other than using the judges' scores?

If its subjective, then I see no reason to break a tie.
