The Schedule says 9 p.m. China, so 9 a.m. here, 6 a.m. with you buck. I believe it's going to be on MSNBC.

EDIT: Nope, check that. USA network it is. Says so right here.

I am concerned, though. On there it says it's only live in ET/CT. You might watch to check for pacific.

And on MSNBC, but it doesn't make up for me missing every one of Phelps' swims.

  5. Absolutely stunning. And, as has been said earlier here, unbelievably classy in defeat.

It would be difficult to find two better representatives of our country.

  7. Ah, that bald head and how it shined in the moonlight when he'd be giving me throw-the-bucket-of-confetti-on-the-ref-then-steal-the-ball-and-dunk-it lessons ...

I've been really impressed with the gymnastic competition. It has seemed in years past, the gymnasts and coaches were a lot more standoffish toward each other, but it is nice to see gymnasts from different countries congratulating each other on routines.
Enjoyed the openwater swim on USA, I just wish it wasn't on the same course they used for paddling. Would have been more fun in the ocean.

And the New York Times has a piece on ESPN going after the 2014 and 2016 Olympics. Sure its a ways off, but it did scare me thinking of some of the personalities they would use for particular sports.

For the random ice hockey/Olympic triathlon crossover, NHL defenseman Andrew Ference (and, I assume, his daughter) made a YouTube video wishing Canadian triathlon competitor good luck.

The Lolo Jones loss was just heartbreaking.

My pick for number one most beautiful US Olympian, though, is Allyson Felix.

Kick ass. You rock, GB. Thanks.

Looks like it's live at 6 a.m. on USA for me, early Thursday morning. (We actually get live coverage on the cable channels.) Got the DVR set up, since there's no way I'll stay up/wake up in time for that.
