Beer or Cocktail.

I drink very rarely, but when I do a margarita, if available, is always my first choice. I'm not big beer fan, but I'll have one if that's what's being offered. If it's a microbrewery, I'll search out an exotic kind of brew just for the hell of it.

 

At my annual physical a few years ago:
"Do you smoke?"
"No."
"Drug use?"
"Never."
"Alcohol?"
chuckle "Oh, yeah."
"Is there a problem?"
"Nope, just like beer."

 

my stomach can't handle anything sweet, so anything mixed with juice or soda is a no go. For me, couple whiskeys on ice is a nice treat at the end of a HS Football Friday or College Football Saturday before shifting to beer.

 

Neither one anymore. Not doctor’s orders but … let’s call it a strong suggestion.

 

Red wine by 10 lengths. Then cocktails (especially if I am making them). Beer only when it is hot out or at a game.

You know that anything and soda, is soda water, right? Just, fizzy water? Not, like rum and coke?

 

I think of all the mainstream vices I could go the rest of my life never tasting beer again and not regret it.

 

For good or ill, I liked the first beer I ever drank. I'm told that's not common.

 

I hope the last thing that passes my lips as I shuffle off this mortal coil is a nice cold beer.

 

I prefer liquor, but my family’s history of alcoholism means I have to be judicious. Beer is filling enough to keep me to two drinks much more easily. I detest wine.

 

I had my first beer after a day of hauling hay with my uncle. My mom was not a fan of my uncle serving 11-year-old me a beer.

I grew up in the, “If he’s old enough to work, he’s old enough for a beer” family.
