I wonder what other drinks show up in movie or TV scenes. Don Draper almost always drinks Canadian Club. In "True Detective," the Matthew M. character drinks "Lone Star" beer. In "Blue Velvet," Frank Booth tells the young main character to drink PBR. Kirsten Dunst sucks down Johnnie Walker Black in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." In "Christmas Vacation," the character previously played by the woman from "30 Rock" isn't with Cousin Eddie this time because she "needs to get cured off the Wild Turkey." I'm sure there are lots of others.

Bud drank "Lone Star" in Urban Cowboy, not surprising as it was set in Texas.

The guys in the "Deer Hunter" drank Rolling Rock, again not surprising since itx was set in Pennsylvania.

When Sonny beats up his philandering/wife beating brother-in-law in "The Godfather," there is a Rheingold truck in the background.

In Smokey and the Bandit, the whole point of Burt Reynolds' high-speed escapade is to bring some Coors back from Texarkana to Atlanta.

No one drinks Lone Star here.

This is the state brew of choice:

Worst beer in the history of Worst Beer Ever.

Anyone ever had two in a row, or even finish one?

[IMG] SWINGERS: "I'll have a scotch on the rocks, please. Any scotch will do, as long as it's not a blend, of course. Single malt, Glen Livet, Glen Galley, perhaps, any Glen."

And some friends of mine always order pitchers of Keystone LIGHT after lacrosse games. I wonder why I am even in the bar when they do that.

Generic beer and light beer. I had a leftover Kroger cost cutter yellow can "beer" in my fridge in college for two years, and I considered it kind of "in emergency, break glass" beer. Well, a friend did just that, and immediately spit it out.

I had a second one, so I tried it, and it tasted like the can - all metal. I can still remember that horrific rust taste to this day.

Between throwing the two beers out, I think we wasted something like 50 cents. I consider wasting alcohol to be alcohol abuse, but in this case, the stuff had morphed into something that wasn't beer anymore, and really wasn't much of a beer at the start, either.

These are the terrible, cheap beers we bought in college:

My dumbass brother was in Scotland once with his wife (who is from there). and when he got back I asked him if he had any good beers. He said he didn't find any until he found some touristy bars that sold shit like Coors Light and Bud because all the local beer "was shit!"

Busch is my go-to shitty beer in the US. Stroh's might be the worst beer I have ever had from any country.
