Being Fired for Posting on SJ

I don't even know if you can prove some people who post on here under "real" names aren't actually someone else.

 

Well, Whitlock does, if that is indeed Whitlock, and I'm pretty sure it is. Kindred immersed himself on the BALCO reporters contempt of court thread.

 

I hope he eventually came up for air.

 

Whitlock's the only one who immerses himself in controversial stuff under his own name.

Mr. Kindred, as much as I respect his work, only comes in and visits when there's some unanimous pat-on-the-back or cause to champion. He doesn't tend to play in the other reindeer games. Likewise Michele Kaufman, Susan Slusser, etc.

 

I used to wish that everyone on this board would come out. I stand by my original premise that things would be a lot more civil then -- and I hate nothing more than Internet gangsters -- but I've come to understand that the board might be less interesting, then, too.

 

I know a lot of people in the business. Whitlock unfortuntely isn't one of them. I've asked several people in the know if they think this is him and they said they didn't think so. I am inclined to agree.
Kindred, Hoppes, Kauffman, Gee, Jenks and a few others are legit.
And to be honest, I really don't want to know identities. I just want good information and good conversation along with humor at times from this site.

 

I don't know. If I've been fooled, I've been fooled. But I never really have gotten any vibe that Whitlock isn't Whitlock.

 

Shot, in the end to me, it matters as much as Lynn Swann's run for governor. I just want factual information on the site about a business I care very much about. the humor is fine. I just don't like the name calling. We're supposed to be professionals.

 

Well, if what you're saying is right, fewer of us ARE professionals than we thought.
