Since 2003, Barry Zito has been the most overrated pitcher in baseball. He's 63-56 with a 3.68 ERA.

    They are playing lousy baseball.

I disagree. There are a lot of doubters here recently, but I believe the Mets will hold onto the division.

A big, left-handed curve will do that.

Alou gives the Mets a 5-4 edge over the Marlins with his second homer of the day. I am fully confident that the bullpen will make the one-run lead stand up.

It took three pitchers to muster together three outs, but the Yankees are leading, 4-2, going into the ninth.

I am fully confident that Mota and Heilman can't handle my junk, to say nothing of a one run lead.

Maybe he's not too old to play. That's Alou's sixth homer in 10 days.

I'm tellin' ya, if Alou's healthy (granted, a big if) he will hit.

I hope he continues it. Depth is much-needed in the Mets' lineup.

    And Mariano is collapsing hard-core.

That's how good closers recover: Allows three hits to open up the inning, then retires the side to get the save. Although, I'm sure Pettitte wasn't at ease until Blake was retired.
