I no longer believe the Red Sox will win the AL East.

 

Smoking hot Yanks are four back now. Jeter and Co. can smell another division title.

 

Still 6 weeks to go.

 

Did you not bury the Yankees not too long ago?
Didn't you suggest not even the wild card because of "too many teams to climb over?"

Red Sox have been a .500 team since June.

Yanks are getting hot at the right time.

Sorry to say, ladies and gents, but there will be October baseball at 161st Street and River Ave.

 

If I had to guess, I'd say Boston holds on for the division, the Yanks get the WC, Detroit on the outside. Mets, Brewers, D-Backs & Padres make the playoffs - all lose in the first round.

 

I will say, however, the cool coincidence -- "there are no big coincidences: just coincidences!" -- but it's cool how the Bronx really is burning in concert with the show on ESPN.

 

And so the question for New Yawk pressers inside the locker room, are you asking any of the Yankees if they're watching the show, and if it inspires them in any single way?
